First I made the basic shape of the building, the bench around the side and the igloo like wall/roof as well as some of the basic objects that would go inside the hut. As there are many objects I decided against putting them in place in maya and instead decided to go straight into unreal. Goals: Full model and texturing complete Stretch goals: Paintings hand painted - as opposed to edited images from google or elsewhere Animated candle flame flickering, plants moving Outside - plants visible through doorway

At first when I placed in my igloo, I had an issue with the auto eye lighting adjuster but I fixed that and added in my first few objects and lighting.

I tried to get the lighting outside and inside accurate to the reference picture, but I found that certain distances of objects were off, some of these I decided to change immediately, but other smaller details, I will continue to change as I go through the process.

I started to find that a number of parts of the reference pictures had inconsistencies, to prove this I will describe a few. In this map of the room it shows how every object should be placed in this room for sizes of objects and the room to be consistent. You can see that the statues in the middle of the room are lines up through the central well water, however in the second image which shows the central statue on the right side of the map it shows a couple of feet worth of distance between the statue and the water. On the 3rd picture you can see a crutch and an unlit candle on the right side, however on the map and in every other picture, the unlit candle is nowhere to be seen and the crutch is on the left side of the room. Furniture is in different places and angles in nearly every picture, so I will try to create this as accurately as I can, however I will have to sacrifice certain objects and move them to fit in the room. The room and the well itself seems to differ in size in each reference as well.

I have continued to fill the room with clutter and change things as I see fit, for example the small tables in the reference that seem to only have 3 legs, but after placing them, I have determined that I can only see 3 legs due to perspective, so I have recreated them with 4 legs.
