For Foliage I decided that I wanted to draw the plants by hand to get an accurate result to replicate my reference. I started with the flowers in the vases. I wanted to have a clean handdrawn look, so for the flowers by the tree, I decided to leave them as a double-sided 2D plane with a transparent background. To achieve this, I followed a tutorial on the learning space for setting up the Niagara steam effect. My material set up: In scene:

I decided to leave this piece as a 2D plane as I wanted the form to stay clear. For the roses in the vase, I decided to approach the material set up the same way, however to create a 3D effect, I duplicated and rotated the assets to form a cross from above.

Next, I created the paper cones hanging from the ceiling and brought them into the scene. I made the texture of the cone two-sided as well, to keep the geometry lower. I created 3 foliage variations for the cones. And used the same method to create a 3D illusion.

I hung the cones in a similar formation to the original. As well as this, I added the little leaves growing off of the tree roots.

I recreated the flower arrangement in front of the open book, I kept the drawing 2D to keep the form clear.

I also added the nettles in the doorway, using the same methods: I wasn't as happy with the nettles, as the colours are a little too vibrant, and they look slightly unnatural in the scene, I was hoping to add in some fog to make them fit in the scene a little better later on.

I had originally intended to add some animations to the foliage, I wanted the nettles to sway in the wind a little and it would've been a nice touch to have some of the cones swinging slightly, however I was running out of time, so I did not manage this last touch.
