Game Summary:

Delirium is an ongoing personal project I've been working on. It will be a side-scrolling horror puzzle game and is about a little girl who wakes up to find that she's trapped in her home alone at night and her toys have come to life.
I came up with the original concept of the game for my A level computer science programming project in which I created the first chapter of the game entirely by myself.
I decided however that I wanted to revise the story as well as the art and make it into a hugely art oriented game. I also will not be coding the game myself this time and will be assisted in that aspect.

Software used:
DragonBones
Photoshop
Firealpaca
Logic Pro X
Figma
Unity
Zbrush
Maya
Marvelous designer
Substance Painter
At an early stage in the remake I decided to redesign the character, but I quickly went back to the version with the purple dress as I got too much feedback saying the character looked like Fran Bow, who is a character from a game with a similar genre.
I ended with the purple dress character and decided to base the game's aesthetic around the design itself, I also decided to bring in a night time and moth theme. Below is the end concept art for the character and some other early work:

I also toyed with the idea of making the game 3D, and tested out making a 3D model of her for one of my university assignments:
